Ground Feeders or Not?

The cold weather and snow cover has resulted in a lot of action at our numerous feeders.

Some backyard birds, i.e., junco and mourning dove, are labeled ground feeders. Contrary to what some "experts" say, these two will indeed perch if necessary.

And this one came for a drink. If you click on the photo, you will see his orange breast. Robins remain here year-round but usually they stay in the woods. Our heated bird bath may be the only water available due to the extreme cold.
